#DOTr requests

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) requests Google to include bike lane routes in the Philippines in the dashboard of its popular real-time navigation app Google Maps to assist cyclists. Secretary Art Tugade said the DOTr is already coordinating with Google regarding the project and they are currently waiting for Google's approval. DOTr pointed out that PUVs before aren't safe for commuters since they are dated, crowded, and inconvenient. Actual photos of the prototype jeepneys will be posted on DOTr's Facebook page any time of the day.
