Meralco has purchased and tested some of the so-called "energy-saving" devices that are currently offered in the market to find out if it really helps in lowering your electricity bill. Meralco concludes that "energy-saving" gadgets are not effective in lowering your energy consumption. Photo from Meralco Facebook page Engineer Alfred Iporac, Manager of Meralco Power Lab, said that these plug-in devices show no evidence of savings and the devices' no load consumption might even increase your power consumption. Meralco suggests other practices of saving electricity like taking advantage of energy-efficient appliances and lighting fixtures. The new FreshIN 3.0, VoxIN, and BreezeIN+ air conditioners are all powered by TCL’s T-AI Energy Saving Technology, which the company says can reduce power consumption by up to 37 percent. Across all three models, TCL positions T-AI Energy Saving Technology as the core feature—an intelligent system that learns, adapts, and delivers consistent comfort while significantly cutting energy consumption.
