The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has announced the extended validity of registration of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0 for 2020. According to the advisory, motor vehicles with plate numbers that end in 6, 7 & 8 will be extended until October 30, 2020, while the registration validity of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 9 and 0, will be extended up to December 31, 2020. Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade has announced that car plates and driver's license validity will be extended to five years. In a report by GMA News Online published September 20, Tugade said that he has recently signed a Department Order which will extend the validity of car plates and driver's license to five years from three years. "Last night I signed a Department Order which will extend the validity of car plates and driver's license to five years from three years," Tugade said during the Manila Overseas Press Club (MOPC) Transportation forum.
