In Facebook's F8 2019 Conference, it was announced that Facebook will be undergoing a redesign, including a Dark Mode for the web version of the social media platform. Among the redesign is a Dark Mode, with the social media website adopting a dark color scheme. The overhauled look of Facebook will be launching immediately on its mobile apps however, the Dark Mode will be launching on the web/desktop version first. Facebook has stated that for mobile, Dark Mode will be first applied in the Watch section, to "help cut down on the glare and put photos and videos in focus."
