Facebook announced that users could make donations through the platform to support the immediate needs of communities affected by Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses in the Philippines. Through Facebook’s Community Help function, the company bridges those who want to help those who need it the most online. People can donate by visiting the Crisis Response Page for Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses pages or by clicking on the donate button on the announcement seen on top of the Facebook feed. Facebook will also match up to USD 150,000 (approximately PHP 7.2 Million) of donations made to Global Giving. Facebook is launching a new game, Your Profile, Your Home where users can build their own virtual home on Facebook and learn how to personalize their account based on their preferences. Through the game users can learn more about the settings of Facebook such as Privacy settings, Advertiser preferences, and security settings. Through Your Profile, Your Home, Facebook hopes that users will have an easy way to find out just how safe and secure their profiles are.
