Facebook has just announced that they are serious about eliminating fake or dummy accounts on their platform especially those that promote false news, hoaxes, and misinformation. Due to the increasing popularity of social media among Filipinos, GMA News has announced its plans of launching a new service called GMA News Feed which would provide Pinoy Facebook users with quick updates about trending topics and current affairs. The GMA News Feed will be anchored by one of the network’s seasoned journalists Ivan Mayrina. Each of the two-minute long pre-recorded episodes of GMA News Feed will be posted on GMA News’ official Facebook page, from Mondays to Fridays at 9PM starting on Monday, May 11.
