Google is increasing the price for its G Suite Basic and Business Editions which will take effect in April 2019. Starting on April 2, 2019, G Suite Basic Edition will increase by USD 1 (from USD 5 to USD 6 per user/month) and G Suite Business Edition will increase by USD 2 (from USD 10 to USD 12 per user/month), or the local currency equivalent where applicable. Pricing for G Suite Enterprise Edition customers will not change. The new prices will also apply for existing G Suite Basic or Business edition customers on the Flexible Plan. G Suite (Legacy Free Edition) is also shutting down in 2022. In January 2022, Google emailed G Suite users informing them about the discontinuation of the service from May 2022. It further suggested users upgrade to a paid version of G Suite, now known as Google Workspace.
