Samsung may bring a camera feature from the upcoming Galaxy S26 series to older Galaxy S25 devices through a software update. The feature, called Virtual Aperture, could be added to the telephoto camera of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The tool already exists on the Galaxy S25 series through Samsung’s Expert RAW app. If Samsung expands support to the telephoto camera, users would have more flexibility when taking zoom portraits and other photos. The Galaxy S27 series could include a physically adjustable aperture for its main camera, a feature Samsung previously used on the Galaxy S9 in 2018 and the Galaxy S10 in 2019. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra picks up right where last year’s S25 Ultra left off as the 2026 Ultra flagship, embracing an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy, polishing the proven formula with steady, year-over-year improvements since the S22 Ultra era. The Galaxy S25 Ultra runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy that is more than capable for gaming, content creation, and heavy multitasking. Both phones use a 200MP main camera, flanked by a 50MP ultrawide, 10MP 3x telephoto, 50MP 5x telephoto, and a 12MP selfie shooter, so the basic layout and versatility stay the same.
