GCash is expanding its reach to cater to OFWs around the world by enabling GCash payments in 16 countries and territories. In partnership with Alipay+, GCash users can now pay to any of the 3 million Alipay+ merchants in these countries/territories. Countries/territories where GCash is available: United States Canada United Kingdom Spain Italy Germany Qatar Kuwait United Arab Emirates (UAE) Japan South Korea Taiwan Singapore Hong Kong Australia Switzerland Do note, though, that transactions in these markets will incur States—all foreign exchange rates but with zero service fees. Also, GCash service was recently integrated with the national QRs of Malaysia and South Korea, just like QRPH in the Philippines. Globe has started sending notifications to GCash users that starting March 15 this year, they will be charging Php50 as monthly fee if they become inactive for over 6 months. After that the GCash account will be deactivated. Globe encourages GCash subscribers to regularly use their account for transactions.
