#Global PC Shipments

Counterpoint Research Global PC tracker has shown a decline in global PC shipments in Q1 2022. According to the company, there was a 4.3% decline year-on-year in global PC shipments. Companies such as Lenovo and HP saw a decline in shipments while Dell, Apple, and other brands barely saw any growth in sales year-on-year. Lenovo maintained its lead in the global PC market in Q1 2022 with a 23.1% share, which was down a little compared to 2021. The brand’s total shipments of 18.2 million units were down 9.5% YoY. The company saw a 16% YoY decline in shipments largely due to Chromebook losing momentum and consumer demand weakness. The current inflation and crisis in Europe may also be a contributing factor that can affect PC shipments for Q2, 2022.
