To make things easier, we’ve put together a comprehensive comparison of the postpaid fiber internet plans offered by the major telco companies in the Philippines — namely PLDT, Globe, Sky, and Converge. Overview: ISPs’ Main Fiber Plan Offerings [table id=2071 /] On the surface, internet speeds from all ISPs’ primary offerings have been slightly, if not significantly, faster than before. In particular, plans starting at PHP 1,500 offer at least 300 Megabits per second (Mbps) of internet speed — that’s double the speed from at least two to three years ago. Additionally, these plans have surpassed 1000 Mbps, or up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) of internet speed, which, as you’d expect, are offered in each ISP’s most expensive fiber internet plan. For example, PLDT’s Fiber Unli Plan 2099 has a speed boost of 700 Mbps, which is faster than Globe’s GFiber Plan 1999 or Converge’s FiberX 2000 peso plan — both of which are capped at 500 Mbps. Weirdly enough, SKY’s TruFiber plans’ speed boosts aren’t anything special because they’re not actually faster than the competition. Of the four telco companies, only Globe bundles Disney+ by default with its GFiber plans. As for PLDT and Converge, they offer Netflix bundles either in separate plans or as an “add-on” to customers’ existing internet plans.
