Google's Nearby Share has been out for 2 years now and Android users have rejoiced. But despite being a feature that we've all wanted to come to Android, it hasn't caught on to AirDrop in popularity and utility just yet. But Google is continuing to make the feature simpler and more streamlined for users with a reported improvement on its way. Self-Share will allow users to share files between their own devices logged into the same Google account much easier by not needing to approve the share. Furthermore, do note that this is no official announcement but could just be coming out soon during Google I/O 2022.
