Google and Apple are working together to make it easier for users to switch between Android and iOS devices, according to a new report. These models to run on-device and on Apple's Private Cloud Compute servers, meaning the processing happens either on your device or on servers that Apple says do not store or share your data. It powers everything from Siri AI to image generation, writing tools, and visual intelligence across every Apple platform. Unlike most AI providers that retain your interactions by default, Apple Intelligence uses on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute. Rather than relying strictly on its own hardware, Apple is looking to rely on Google's Gemini AI model running on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell B200 data center graphics chips. This is a radical strategy change for Apple: a company famous for trying to bring every single piece of its hardware and software pipeline in-house for the sake of control.
