#Google Gemini 2.0 update

Last January, Google released a preview of Gemini 2.0 Advanced for paying users, along with the '2.0 Flash Experimental' model. Building on the previous Flash 1.5 and Pro 1.5 versions, Gemini’s 2.0 Flash model is faster, with benchmarks showing performance improvements with double the speed. Google touts the new Gemini 2.0 Flash as the ideal model for everyday tasks. For paying Gemini Advanced users, the 2.0 Flash model will offer continued access to a 1M token context window, 1,500 pages of file uploads, and priority access to features like Deep Research and Gems. While Gemini 2.0 Flash is now the default for new conversations, Google confirmed that it will maintain Flash 1.5 and 1.5 Pro for existing conversations for the next few weeks. Google has renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook, expanding its reach across the Gemini app and Google Search. Google is also bringing notebooks directly into the Gemini app, with full cross-app syncing between the two platforms. While Gemini Notebook remains a standalone research tool, Google is rolling out an update that gives every notebook a secure cloud computer, allowing it to write and execute code natively for more accurate data analysis.
