The new system means that when a user triggers a complex prompt that cannot be solved locally on an iPhone, the request will be routed directly to Google Cloud to run on a licensed version of the Gemini model. Google is partnering with CapCut to bring video and image editing tools to the Gemini app. CapCut already offers AI-powered editing tools and previously partnered with Google through Google Photos, which added an “edit with CapCut” shortcut in its 2025 recap feature.
