Google's first foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel Fold, is now official. Launched at Google's I/O 2023 developer conference, the Pixel Fold will feature a 7.6-inch OLED main screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 5.8-inch OLED cover display, also with 120 Hz. The displays can reach up to 1,550 nits and 1450 nits peak brightness respectively. The foldable will be powered by Google's own Tensor G2 chip with the Titan M2 security coprocessor, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 256/512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. For its cameras, the Pixel Fold will feature a 48 MP main camera, a 10.8MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP optical zoom telephoto lens. For battery, the Pixel Fold will carry a 4,812 mah battery with support for 30W wired charging. As per renders, the Pixel Fold will be capable of going into a "tabletop" mode where you can use the other half of the display as a base, while the other half is used to view content. Google also says that most of the Pixel 7 Pro camera features, such as Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Night Sight, and more will be included in the Pixel Fold. There's also going to be a Dual Screen interpreter mode on the Pixel Fold that will allow users to use the Fold's inner and outer screens to translate live conversations.
