Huawei is set to announce the Mate 10 this October and it is expected to run on the new HiSilicon Kirin 970. Details of the Kirin 970 have been sparse but a recent report indicates that it will be running on an ARM Cortex A73 quad-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.8GHz paired with another Cortex A53 quad-core processor. A couple of months go, Huawei unveiled its latest flagship chipset, the HiSilicon Kirin 990 Series, which powers the company's newest smartphones, the Mate 30 series. The HiSilicon Kirin 710 is Huawei's very capable mid-range chip that powers some of their most popular devices, including Honor's. Huawei's new Mate 20 series is just around the corner and one of its main features is the new engine under the hood, the HiSilicon Kirin 980, which is also the company's latest flagship chipset.
