Honor has just announced that it will be launching a tablet called the Honor Pad 5 in India. It's reported that the Honor Pad 5 is a rebranded Huawei MediaPad T5 for India. The 8-inch Honor Pad 5 comes with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, powered by Kirin 710, combined with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage, expandable to 512GB via microSD. The Honor Pad 5 variants are priced as follows: Honor Pad 5 8" (3GB + 32GB) - INR 15,499 (~PHP 11,609) Honor Pad 5 8" (4GB + 64GB) - INR 17,499 (~PHP 13,107) Honor Pad 5 10" (3GB + 32GB) - INR 16,999 (~PHP 12,732) Honor Pad 5 10" (4GB + 64GB) - INR 18,999 (~PHP 14,230) via GizChina That's exactly the 0:15space both the Honor Pad X8B and the 0:18Redmi Pad 2 9.7-in version are trying to 0:21compete in. [music] Its 1:09design actually reminds me a lot of the 1:11Xiaomi Pad Mini that we reviewed earlier 1:14this year, especially with that rear 1:15camera layout. The Honor, on the other 1:17hand, feels more like a traditional 1:19tablet for media consumption. Not to mention, 1:30Honor is also a tad bit thinner, having 1:32a 7.25 mm frame compared to Redmi's 7.4 1:36mm thickness.
