Huawei has just announced the Huawei Eyewear, a pair of smart glasses, made in partnership with the Korean eyewear brand, Gentle Monster. The product was unveiled in today's Huawei event held in Paris. Introduced by the CEO of Gentle Monster, Hankook Kim, the Huawei Eyewear smart glasses were produced to look like designer eyewear. Huawei did not disclose any information yet about the eyewear's official specs, pricing, and availability. Samsung and Google have revealed new AI-powered intelligent eyewear at Google I/O 2026. Samsung says the smart glasses are designed to offer hands-free access to AI while blending in with familiar eyewear styles. Huawei makes some of the most interesting little gadgets around and when I visited their booth at CommunicAsia yesterday, they've got a dozens of Pocket WiFi and USB sticks for all sorts of cellular network on display. The one above is the Huawei WiFi E589 which supports LTE, 3G and 2G connections with speeds up to 50Mbps.
