Huawei launched the Ideos X6 and should be out in Hong Kong first before landing to the Philippines. The Huawei Ideos X6 is basically the same, exact phone as the one recently launched Cherry Mobile Magnum HD. We're all familiar with Huawei as they manufacture a lot of telco devices like USB dongles, the MiFi and WiMax modems we've seen with Globe, Smart and Sun. I got a chance to play around with a yet-to-be released Android phone, the Huawei Ideos, running Android 2.2 Froyo. This phone was first introduced in IFA 2010 by Huawei and is also known as T-mobile Comet in the US. As you can see on the back of the phone, the Google name is there because Huawei worked very closely with Google on the OS. I've never owned a single Android phone so I can't compare the speed of Ideos to other low end Android phones. Huawei has announced that they'll be shipping the new E5 "Pocket MiFi" to the Philippines this month.
