IDC has released their Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker for Q2 2018, showing the top smartphone vendors in the market. Ranking second is Huawei which surpassed Apple for the first time with 54.2 million shipments or 15.8% market share. At third place is Apple with 41.3 million shipments or 12.1% market share. Apple has revealed that the iPhone 12 and 12 mini now come in the color Purple. As per Apple, the new finish complements the beautiful flat-edge design of the iPhone 12. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji. Additionally, Apple revealed that Siri no longer has a default voice and will include more voice options in English. Apple announced the official date for its upcoming Apple Event.
