Instagram has just released Threads, a standalone messaging app. Threads by Instagram is designed for users to share images, videos, messages, stories, and the like only with the user's Close Friends list. Threads directly opens to the camera app, with the user's Close Friends displayed on the bottom part. The app also features a dedicated inbox for Close Friends that appears both on Threads and Instagram. Threads from Instagram has started to roll out globally for iOS and Android. Meta is set to shake up how we view fact-checking by testing its new Community Notes feature on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads starting March 18th in the US. Instagram has rolled out an update for its app on iOS and Android which brings five new filters and new features. The new filters and features mentioned above is now available on Instagram for iOS version 6.4.0, and Instagram for Android version 6.12.0.
