Instagram finally brings Replace Audio feature for old posts

Listen to article

Instagram finally lets its users replace the background music for published posts and carousels without losing accumulated engagements.

Previously, the only way to replace music is to delete and re-upload the content, wiping out all the likes, comments, and shares in the process.

With the update, users can replace audio directly by opening an existing post > tapping the Edit menu > selecting a new track > then saving the changes. The update goes live immediately once saved.
