Apple’s iOS 18 update is working towards introducing new text effects and RCS for iMessage. In addition, iOS 18 sets the stage for Apple’s AI integrations for iMessage. Moving on, iOS 18 is also expected to introduce Rich Communication Services (RCS) support. RCS offers an advanced messaging standard with a variety of features. iOS 18 is set to be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10th. The complete rollout of iOS 18 is anticipated in September, bringing these exciting new features to all compatible Apple devices. Google and Apple have started testing end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging between Android and iPhone users. The feature is part of the RCS Universal Profile developed by the GSMA.
