Blackmagic Design has released version 2.1 of its Camera app for iOS, introducing new features specifically for iPhone 16 users. Apple dedicated a big chunk of WWDC 2026 to child safety, and the update is the most comprehensive parental control expansion since Screen Time launched. The updated App Store guidelines now permit these long-banned emulators, allowing those already availeble to Android to make their way onto iPhones. Apple's update extends beyond emulators. In the past, Apple has only allowed those with a paid Apple Developer account to access early developer betas of new operating system updates. However, this year, anyone who signs in to the Apple Developer site using their Apple ID can access the developer beta builds of iOS 17, macOS Sonoma, and other operating systems for free. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji.
