#iPadOS 26 release

Apple has confirmed that iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, macOS 26, and visionOS 26 will roll out on September 15, 2025. Apple has also aligned version numbers with release years, which explains the jump from iOS 18 to iOS 26. For iPadOS 26, supported devices include the iPad Pro M4, the 12.9-inch Pro starting from the 3rd generation, the 11-inch Pro starting from the 1st generation, iPad Air M2 and M3 models as well as the 3rd generation and later, the iPad A16 and 8th generation and newer, and the iPad mini A17 Pro along with the 5th generation and newer. Apple has not announced a release date for tvOS 26. Apple has released the first public beta versions of its upcoming software updates, allowing users to try iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, and watchOS 27 ahead of their official release later this year. Meanwhile, macOS 27 Golden Gate brings Siri AI to Spotlight along with interface refinements, while iPadOS 27 adds Apple Pencil support for Visual Intelligence and faster file transfers with external storage devices.
