Apple has confirmed that iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, macOS 26, and visionOS 26 will roll out on September 15, 2025.

The updates introduce the new Liquid Glass design language, with a focus on translucency and fluidity. Apple has also aligned version numbers with release years, which explains the jump from iOS 18 to iOS 26.

For watchOS 26, support starts with the Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE (2nd-gen), and all Apple Watch Ultra models. Vision Pro users will also be able to install visionOS 26 on the same date.

macOS 26, also known as macOS Tahoe, will be available for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with Apple silicon starting 2020, the MacBook Pro 16-inch (2019), MacBook Pro 13-inch (2020, with four Thunderbolt 3 ports),

iMac models from 2020 and later, Mac mini with Apple silicon, Mac Studio (2022 and later), and the Mac Pro (2019 and later).

For iPadOS 26, supported devices include the iPad Pro M4, the 12.9-inch Pro starting from the 3rd generation, the 11-inch Pro starting from the 1st generation, iPad Air M2 and M3 models as well as the 3rd generation and later, the iPad A16 and 8th generation and newer, and the iPad mini A17 Pro along with the 5th generation and newer.
