First revealed back in December 2010, the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 is the first ultraportable to have an odd 12.5" display screen not seen anywhere else. And though Lenovo also has their own line-up for the 11.6" form factor, I think the 12.5" is a special distinction for their more premium models. The IdeaPad U260 packs an ultra-mobile processor, an Intel Core i5 470UM, running at a base of 1.33GHz but can Turbo Boost up to 1.86GHz (with 2 cores and 4 threads). The signature Lenovo keyboard design is present and the position of the Ctrl and Fn keys are in the preferred order. Lenovo is entering the “netbook” market with the IdeaPad S9 and S10. Weighing just above 09.kg, the one-inch thick Lenovo Ideapad will use the Intel Atom processor. Lenovo also boasts of its OneKey Recovery on Microsoft Windows-based netbooks which allows data recovery at the touch of a button in case of a system error or virus occur. The Lenovo Ideapad will be out this September for a suggested retail price of Php22,990 (with either Windows XP or Linux OS).
