Understanding that specs alone aren't enough to stand out in today's smartphone market, LG's new Velvet smartphones focus on distinctive designs and tactile elegance. Unlike the old G and V series from LG, the upcoming Velvet smartphone features a new "Raindrop" camera design, and a curved front and back connected by what appears to be a metal frame. "Our new branding reflects current trends of addressing the unique personal tastes and emotions of the individual with a greater emphasis on design," Senior Vice President of Product Strategy Chang Ma stated. Based on the renders, the new LG Velvet smartphones will come in five colors: black, white, blue, purple, and red. Hot on the heels of the new Mamba gaming mouse launch, Razer announced that they have partnered with eyewear company called Gunnar Optiks to come up with a pair of “gaming sunglasses” namely the RPG Designed by Razer and Cerberus Designed by Razer. Both the RPG and Cerberus are designed primarily to reduce eye-strain during long gaming sessions thanks to anti-reflection on both sides of the glass. These new eyewear can also be outfitted with prescription lenses to match the user’s current eyewear.
