Just when we thought Full HD is the king, LG Display has just announced the "world's first" Quad HD LCD panel for smartphones. The Quad HD (QHD) AH-IPS LCD panel bears a resolution of 2560 X 1440, which is four times more pixels than HD (1280 x 720). This new high-resolution display measures 5.5-inch across, boasts a pixel density of 538ppi and is capable of producing 430 nits of brightness. According to LG, this new advancement in smartphone display technology "will enable consumers to fully enjoy more life-like and crisp images, and even Blu-ray equivalent video, on their smartphones." {via} After spending its fair share of time in the rumor mill and doing a quick pose for a number of leaksters, the iPad Mini with Retina Display has made its official debut alongside its new 9.7-inch counterpart. More than just the Retina display, the iPad Mini also gets an engine overhaul; now sporting the fairly new 64-bit Apple A7 processor, along with the M7 battery saving core. One of the key features of the A400 Series is Art Gallery Mode, which allows the TV to display artwork on the screen. Both models use TCL's QLED technology, which can display over a billion colors and improve brightness for clearer picture quality.
