Lily, the throw-and-shoot camera drone, wasn't able to push through production due to lack of additional funding. Announced back in 2015, the Lily promises to be the world’s first throw-and-shoot camera and has the ability to chase the owner using a tracking device which can be worn on the wrist. The drone was supposed to be available by early 2016 but it met delays. The Lily is supposed to be out for $999 with pre-order pricing for $499 only. Parrot has introduced a new aerial drone that sports a new look, a 14 megapixel fisheye camera, 3-axis stabilization, and First Person View (FPV) glasses support - the Bebop Drone. Parrot Bebop Drone features: * 14 megapixel camera w/ fisheye lens * 180-degree field view * Full HD video recording * 3-axis image sbatilization system * WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac * WiFi MIMO 2.4 & 5GHz * GNSS : GPS + Glonass + Galileo * Inertial unit: Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Altimeter, Ultrasound, Vertical camera. The Parrot Bebop Drone is scheduled to ship in the U.S. So, it was only a matter of time before this feature eventually got adopted by drones.
