LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced that they would be implementing shortened holiday schedule on December 24 (Chrismas Eve) and December 31 (New Year's Eve). LRT-1 will be Business As Usual on December 25, 2021 (Christmas Day), December 30, 2021 (Rizal Day), and January 1, 2022 (New Year's Day) with the regular weekends/holiday schedule. Note that the Roosevelt Station will remain temporarily closed until further notice to give way to the ongoing construction of the Unified Grand Central Station (UGCS), connecting the LRT-1, MRT-3, and MRT-7. Since assuming the operations and management of LRT-1, we have increased the number of trains available to our customers by almost 50% and shortened waiting times.
