This is in line with LTFRB's mandate for taxis and TNVS to adopt cashless transactions. Aside from having calibrated meters, taxi drivers should also have online payment services available for cashless transactions. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has recommended the termination of the five-year motorcycle taxi pilot program. LTFRB Chairman and motorcycle taxi Technical Working Group lead (TWG) Teofilo Guadiz said that no new operators should be accredited under the program.
