The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has recommended the termination of the five-year motorcycle taxi pilot program. LTFRB Chairman and motorcycle taxi Technical Working Group lead (TWG) Teofilo Guadiz said that no new operators should be accredited under the program. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) now requires public utility vehicle (PUV) operators and passengers to use the StaySafe.ph contact tracing mobile app. • Make sure that the data is available to the LTFRB when needed. Other than these, the LTFRB also reminds the public of strict compliance to "7 commandments" in all public transportation, following the recommendation of health experts. Furthermore, the LTFRB also reminds PUV operators and drivers to follow agency policies. In line with this new policy, LTFRB encourages commuters to purchase and load their own beep cards to avoid inconveniences upon the implementation of the automated fare collection system.
