Sophos and Mapua University have announced that they have forged a partnership to offer cybersecurity courses and training for Mapua students. Through the partnership, both parties have stated that they "aim to enhance students’ skills and knowledge on cybersecurity while helping to prepare them for a smooth transition from college to the workforce." To jumpstart the program, Sophos will be providing a "train-the-trainer" style education on XG Firewall for the faculty members of Mapua. Upon attaining a certification, the Mapua professors can then impart their knowledge to the students through the university curriculum. Sophos will also provide hardware devices and virtual machines for Mapua's student labs.
