The move comes as Shopee and Meta aim to increase social commerce engagement and offer simpler affiliate and shopping tools for sellers and creators. This was confirmed by TechCrunch, who spoke with Meta officials last Thursday. In addition, Meta is recommending deleting the app once it stops functioning as per this help portal. Meta’s also advising users to enable secure storage and to set a PIN to preserve chat history across devices. Meta has announced a huge update to their privacy policy that will take effect on December 16. Conversations with Meta AI will now be used to tailor personalized ads and content across all platforms. As per Meta’s post, text and voice interactions with Meta AI will be analyzed to improve recommendations across their platforms.
