Microsoft is bringing back the ability to move the taskbar in Windows 11, nearly five years after the feature was removed at launch. Users will soon be able to reposition the taskbar to the top or sides of the screen, addressing one of the most requested features from the Windows community. Microsoft said the move responds to long-standing feedback about missing functionality in Windows 11 compared to previous versions. Microsoft is also scaling back some Copilot integrations, removing less useful entry points while focusing AI features where they are more relevant. The return of the movable taskbar marks a significant reversal from Windows 11’s original design, which removed several customization features that were available in earlier versions like Windows 10. Despite Microsoft’s aggressive push to transition users onto Windows 11, a massive chunk of the user base is flatly refusing to give up Windows 10. Microsoft has finally announced the SKUs of their upcoming OS, Windows 7. I've had the beta version of Windows 7 installed on my Intel Core 2 Quad, a Compaq Presario, and an Atom-based netbook for about a week now and so far, Microsoft's upcoming operating system gave a fairly good impression.
