Leica Camera has officially launched the Leica SL3-P in the Philippines, bringing its newest premium full-frame mirrorless camera to local photographers and filmmakers. The camera features a 44.9MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor paired with the Leica Maestro IV image processor. The camera also includes 5-axis in-body image stabilization rated for up to 5 stops, an advanced hybrid autofocus system with 819 phase-detection AF points, and ISO sensitivity of up to 200,000. For video creators, the SL3-P supports 8K Open Gate recording, ProRes recording, HDMI RAW output, Leica LUTs, False Color monitoring, and direct Camera-to-Cloud integration through Frame.io. Sony has announced the Alpha 7R VI, the latest model in its high-resolution Alpha 7R camera series. The camera uses a new 66.8MP full-frame Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ XR2 processor. Sony says the camera supports up to 30fps continuous shooting, 8K video recording, and improved autofocus tracking with AI-based subject recognition. The Alpha 7R VI also introduces a new NP-SA100 battery, a 9.44-million-dot OLED viewfinder, and support for Sony’s Camera Authenticity Solution for image verification.
