A new mobile app of the same name is now officially live on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. While the app can be installed and register with your mobile number, Smart has yet to launch its waitlist. Quite a number of users have already been using their new uMobile SIMs too (7.19%) while fledgling Sun Cellular 3G is still down there. Surprisingly, very few people are using PLDT WeRoam -- a service which has practically been supplanted by SmartBro Mobile 3G. uMobile on the other hand, though an autonomous telco is still considered a Smart/PLDT property and their free ad-supported 3G services will certainly bump up their total numbers. The outage started on the evening of June 14, when many BPI customers reported being unable to access the bank's mobile app and online banking platform.
