Nintendo has announced in a tweet that it will be re-releasing the NES Classic Edition after its brief discontinuation last April 2017. Alongside the NES Classic Edition, the SNES Classic will also be available through the end of the year. The NES Classic Edition has an MSRP of USD59.99 (~Php3,142.61) and will be available on June 29, 2018 in the US. Just before the actual release of its latest gaming console, Nintendo brought back to life its famous family entertainment console last year -- the NES Classic. In a statement Nintendo sent to IGN, the company confirmed that it will no longer produce new mini-NES systems in North America. Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year. As part of the discontinuation, the NES Classic Controller will no longer be available as well.Third party accessories, though, will be up to each individual manufacturer. There's no exact news yet whether this also means the Famicom Mini, which NES Classic's Asian counterpart, will also be discontinued. The NES Classic Edition was launched in November 2016 and included 30 retro games for USD59.99.
