Nintendo has found a way to address the major issue regarding its Malfunctioning Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons called "Joy-Con Drift" by providing free repairs. Vice has further investigated the matter and found out that Nintendo has issued an internal memo that the customer service should provide free service including repairs and shipping to Joy-Con Drift issues. Users can use the funds to buy content on any of these consoles and systems until 27 March 2023 if they have linked their Nintendo Network ID funds (used on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS) with the funds attached to their Nintendo Account (used on the Nintendo Switch eShop). Following that, the money can only be used on Nintendo Switch content. No changes are planned on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
