Apple has just unveiled the Apple TV+, the company's original video subscription service. It has also unveiled the Apple TV app, giving customers access to about 150 channels and streaming services. Apple TV+ will feature TV shows, documentaries, and movies from artists such as Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Octavia Spencer, J.J. The subscription promises on-demand and ad-free access to its content through the new Apple TV app. Launching in May 2019, the Apple TV app will be available on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, smart TVs, and streaming devices. Apple has stated that the Apple TV app will cover shows and movies from about 150 channels and streaming services. It will also cover pay-TV services such as Canal+, Charter Spectrum, DIRECTV NOW, and PlayStation Vue, with more to be added later in the year after the app's launch.
