Google has officially confirmed that it is closing long-standing loopholes that allowed users to play YouTube videos in the background without a YouTube Premium subscription. These browsers allowed videos to continue playing even when the screen was locked or when switching apps — a feature meant to be exclusive to YouTube Premium. The Charmera Millennium Edition retains its 35mm f/2.4 lens and 1/4-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing 1.6MP photos and recording video at up to 1440 x 1080 resolution at 30fps. It is also unclear whether the camera will be offered through local retailers or online marketplaces.
