Public school students of Pasig City will receive tablets for online learning starting October 1. According to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, the tablets are set to arrive in the city on or before September 30, while the distribution will be on October 1. This is part of Pasig LGU's ongoing projects to support the needs of students amidst the pandemic. Other than this, the said city also provided risograph machines to public schools for the printing of learning materials as well as internet centers installed with high-speed computer network access for teachers and parents who do not have an internet connection at home. The city government will also fund the initiatives for the distance learning method, as well as laptops for public school teachers. Also, Pasig City now has 18,000 scholarship grantees. The scholarship program will also be extended to more 3,000 indigent students from private schools according to the City Mayor.
