According to the IDC, "weak demand, excess inventory, and a worsening macroeconomic climate" all contribute to the lower number of shipments compared to last year. This continues the trend that the IDC observed in the fourth quarter of 2022, wherein an 18.5% drop in PC shipments was observed.
