Google Play Store v6.7 has started rolling out and it should be hitting your Android device any time now. While this Play Store app update won’t mean much to folks that aren’t in any beta tests, for those that are, it’s a huge deal. Fortnite is officially returning to the Google Play Store globally on March 19, following a long-running dispute between Epic Games and Google. The comeback coincides with the launch of the game’s next season, marking the first time in years that Android users worldwide can download Fortnite directly from the Play Store again. As part of broader changes, Google has since reduced its Play Store commission fees to around 10–20%, down from the previous 30% cut; one of the core issues behind the conflict. Fortnite had already returned to the Play Store in the US late last year, but this marks its full global rollout on Android devices. The game’s return also aligns with several updates, including a price adjustment for V-Bucks and plans to make Fortnite’s “Save the World” mode free-to-play starting April.
