PLDT Inc and Microsoft announce their partnership to work together through Microsoft's Cyber Threat Intelligence Program (CTIP) with the goal to strengthen the digital borders and infrastructure security against cybercrimes in the Philippines. Microsoft's Cyber Threat Intelligence Program, driven by its Digital Crimes Unit (DCU), with expertise in technical, legal, and business, was created in 2008 in order to fight cybercrime globally. With this initiative, PLDT is given access to Microsoft DCU's Azure-based cyber threat intelligence giving information about the impact from the malware families DCU has disrupted previously. We are glad to partner with Microsoft to help fortify our strong cyber threat intelligence operations and to help us better protect our customers in particular, and the country’s cyber defenses in general,” according to Angel T.
