For Acer, sales of gaming notebooks nearly doubled with 113,000 units sold last year from 75,000 in 2020 and 38,000 in 2019. Acer has expanded its gaming lineup with the launch of the Predator Atlas 8, a new Windows-based handheld gaming device designed for portable PC gaming. The Predator Atlas 8 uses Intel’s new Arc G-Series platform and can be configured with up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor paired with Arc B390 graphics. The handheld also supports ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling technology for gaming performance improvements. Battery capacity can go up to 80Wh, while Intel Endurance Gaming technology is designed to help balance performance and power consumption during gaming sessions.
