Apple Pay is now available in the Philippines. Here's the full text of the announcement from Apple: Today, Apple announced users in the Philippines can now make purchases using Apple Pay with their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac. Starting today, thousands of in-store and online merchants in the Philippines will accept Apple Pay, with support from some of the country’s most established banks, across major credit and debit networks. “The Philippines is home to a digital-first generation that is rapidly embracing a vision for a cashless future, all while expecting security and privacy at every step,” said Jennifer Bailey, Apple’s vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet. “Apple Pay makes everyday payments simple, secure, and seamless — whether users are shopping in stores or online — with no need to open another app. We’re thrilled to bring Apple Pay to users in the Philippines, making it easier than ever to pay with the privacy and security they expect from the devices they love.” Delivering a Secure and Private Payment Experience Security and privacy are at the core of Apple Pay. If a user’s iPhone is lost or stolen, they can use the Find My app to quickly locate, lock, or suspend payments from that device.
