Qualcomm has announced two new chipsets from its Snapdragon Compute platform that will power premium, mainstream, and entry-level notebook PCs - the Snapdragon 8c and Snapdragon 7c. Starting with the Snapdragon 7c Compute Platform, Qualcomm says that it can bring a 25% boost in system performance and up to 2x the battery life compared to competing platforms. It features a Snapdragon X15 LTE modem, octa-core Qualcomm Kryo 468 CPU, Adreno 618 GPU, Bluetooth 5.1, and Qualcomm AI Engine to deliver the latest AI accelerated experiences offered by Windows 10. As for the 7nm Snapdragon 8c Compute Platform, it can provide up to 30% more performance over the Snapdragon 850.
